Arriba’s heren 6
This year was my first year playing competition with basketball. The people from Arriba (the basketball assocication from the University of Twente) recognized my skills in basketball, and placed me in the lowest team. I guess they place me in the first team next year 
First of all, everybody needs to know that through the years, the last team of Arriba is always ranked lowest at the end of the season. Maybe we could change that?
The start of the season didn’t quite work out just the way we wanted it. For example, in the first game we scored a whole 26 points, but even that wasn’t enough to win, the opponents scored 94 :/
It took us some time, but during the next couple of games we became more of a team, and after 7 hopeless defeats, we actually won the 8th game!
During the other 12 games we gathered some more points, and at the end of the season we got what we deserved: we weren’t ranked last anymore!
So this was a succesful season. It was fun to play in the team, since you also get to know some great guys 
I wonder if we will play as a team next year, but it looks like some people prefer to play in Spain :/ I guess we will see each other in the NBA, where we all belong

I love this game
Yeah, it was nice to play in your team. I think everybody learnt a lot of stuff and playing in the lowest team also doesn’t give you a lot of pressure so you can really enjoy playing.
The worst part for me was understanding what was happening in the court since everybody was talking in Dutch. I only recall the word “wissel” for substitutions.
I also recall that time when I got fouled without being involved at all in the game. Funny.
My Spanish team made it to the semifinals in the university cup tournament. We could made it to the big final !!
